Damilola Marshal is strongly positioned to become the youngest lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, following a decisive consensus agreement among key All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants.

Several leading contenders, including Hon. Dr Alli Sanusi, Hon. Rasaq Ibrahim Olamilekan, and Hon. Qozeem Shittu, formally withdrew and endorsed Marshal as the unified candidate. She has since cleared the official APC screening exercise in Ikeja, cementing her eligibility.

At approximately 31 years old, Marshal’s “Youth Lokan” (it is the turn of the youth) campaign promises a generational shift. Her legislative agenda prioritises youth and female inclusion, legal reforms, and indigenous representation. She has won endorsements from market women, youth groups, the Arewa community, and the NURTW.

After securing the ticket, Marshal said, “The voice of the people has spoken clearly. This triumph is a victory for democracy and for every constituent who believes in a brighter future.

Now that the primaries are over, the real work begins. Let us unite as one formidable family and secure a landslide victory in the general election.”

If elected, Marshal will succeed Hon. Mosunmola Rotimi Sangodara, becoming the youngest voice in the Lagos Assembly.
