Hajara Ibrahim Dan’azumi, a 19-year-old student from Gombe State, has made history by securing first place at the 18th Women’s International Hashemite Competition for Memorisation of the Holy Qur’an, held in Jordan.
Competing against participants from nearly 40 countries, Dan’azumi delivered a nearly flawless performance in the category of Full Qur’an Memorisation (60 Hizb) with Tajwid, earning an outstanding score of 99.5 out of 100.
Her victory places her ahead of contestants representing 38 to 39 other nations, cementing her place as a global standard-bearer of Qur’anic excellence.
Dan’azumi balances her faith with higher education as a Botany student at Gombe State University, proving that academic and spiritual pursuits can thrive side by side.
