Nigerian makeup artist and entrepreneur Theresa Emegwara, known professionally as Tesglam, has paid a heartfelt courtesy visit to House of Tara Cosmetics following the official presentation of her Guinness World Records plaque, celebrating the beauty brand’s pivotal role in her historic achievement.
Emegwara was formally presented with her plaque on February 3, 2026, certifying her extraordinary feat of the longest continuous makeup application by an individual.
The record-breaking attempt, dubbed “Glam 4–144,” took place in Lagos in August 2025, where she completed a staggering 146 hours, 23 minutes, and 56 seconds of non-stop makeup artistry—shattering the previous 103-hour record held by a Ghanaian artist. Over six gruelling days, she applied makeup to more than 200 different faces.
Following the plaque presentation, one of her first visits was to House of Tara, the official beauty sponsor of the record attempt. Sharing the moment on social media, Emegwara reflected on the brand’s unwavering support from the very beginning.
“Right after setting a Guinness World Record in makeup artistry, one of my first courtesy visits was to House of Tara Cosmetics, the official beauty sponsor of the attempt,” she said. “From the early stages of this journey, they aligned with the vision and stood in support of what would become a historic moment. Returning with the Guinness World Records plaque was more than symbolic; it was appreciation.”

She added, “When brands and artists move with shared belief, impact follows. And sometimes… those conversations don’t end in one chapter.”
House of Tara, founded by industry icon Tara Fela-Durotoye, provided essential products and support throughout the marathon event. The partnership represents a significant milestone for Nigeria’s beauty industry, demonstrating the global heights achievable when corporate backing meets creative excellence.
Emegwara’s achievement follows in the footsteps of other Nigerian record-breakers, including chef Hilda Baci, cementing the country’s growing footprint in the Guinness World Records ecosystem.
Her visit signals not only gratitude but the potential for continued collaboration between artist and brand beyond this historic chapter.
