Actress Rosy Meurer’s 34th birthday celebration took a serious turn as she took to social media to forcefully address long-standing rumours about her marriage to businessman Olakunle Churchill, declaring she has been “quiet for so long” and that “enough is enough.”

The actress had initially been in a celebratory mood, sharing a heartfelt message of gratitude to her well-wishers. “Thank you, everyone, for the beautiful birthday wishes!” she wrote. “I’m genuinely touched by your kindness and feel blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. I appreciate the love and warm wishes. Bless you all.”

However, shortly after, she posted a direct and impassioned video to confront claims that she had unfollowed her husband on social media. “I did not unfollow my husband,” she stated firmly, explaining she was inundated with calls after the rumour spread.

To prove her point, she showed her phone screen, demonstrating that she was still following his account. She called the rumour an attempt to make her look “petty,” especially as it surfaced on the same day Churchill was in Lagos celebrating his son’s birthday from his previous marriage. She dismissed the idea as an attempt to make her look “petty” and assured fans she would never play such games.

“I am in this marriage because I want to be in this marriage, I’m being treated well, I am happy, and that’s on period,” she affirmed.

Meurer then used the opportunity to confront a more damaging rumour: that she was once best friends with Churchill’s ex-wife and “snatched” him.

“You are hearing it from the horse’s mouth,” she declared. “I was never my husband’s ex’s friend. Not to talk to her best friend. I’ve never met her. I’ve never seen her… I was never friends with anyone.” She challenged anyone with evidence to the contrary to “bring it out,” stating she met her husband completely separately from his past life.

After years of ignoring the “same narrative,” Meurer said she finally took a friend’s advice to set the record straight, concluding, “Today, I’m saying enough.”
