Liza Umusu, Nigeria’s representative at the Miss Petite Global 2026 pageant, has made history as the first Miss Ebonyi State to be formally received at the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kuala Lumpur.
The 23‑year‑old model, content creator, and body positivity advocate shared her historic visit on social media, writing: “An absolute honour to be received by the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria here in Kuala Lumpur today.
As Miss Petite Global Nigeria 2026, I am committed to flying our flag high and strengthening the ties within our community abroad. Thank you for the warm welcome and the insightful conversation.”
A Portrait of Pride
In the now‑viral photograph from the visit, Umusu stands before the Nigerian coat of arms on the embassy’s white brick wall. She wears a large jewelled gold crown and a strapless, fitted ankara dress in a bold orange‑and‑black tiger‑stripe pattern with a flared skirt.
Across her chest rests a wide champagne‑coloured satin sash with black trim and rhinestones reading “MISS PETITE GLOBAL NIGERIA 2025” (the pageant’s Golden Edition is held in 2026). Gold statement earrings, bangles, a gold watch, and full glam makeup complete her look.
In her right hand, she proudly holds a small Nigerian flag. Her bright smile and diplomatic pose, looking off to the side, radiate confidence and grace.
A Queen on a Mission
Umusu, originally from Ebonyi State, is the founder of @loveyourbodydaily, a platform empowering women to challenge unrealistic beauty standards. She is also the winner of Miss Empower 2025, Miss Ebonyi State, and is affiliated with Paris Runway Official. Beyond pageantry, she advocates for grassroots education access and youth empowerment in Nigeria.
She departed for Malaysia on May 3, 2026, for the 5th Golden Edition of Miss Petite Global (May 4–10). The grand finale is May 10 at the HGH Convention Centre, Sentul, streamed live on Tiara TV’s YouTube channel.
Call to Support
As the first Nigerian delegate to visit the embassy ahead of the competition, Umusu is already raising Nigeria’s profile. Every Nigerian at home and abroad is encouraged to watch the livestream, share her journey, and rally behind our queen.
Let’s show the world that we stand with Liza as she flies the green‑white‑green high in Malaysia.
