Nigerian superstar, Adekunle Gold, is swapping Afrobeats clubs for concert halls, announcing a two-city “Live Orchestra — North America” run for July 2026.

The singer will perform at Toronto’s Meridian Hall on July 2 and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark on July 3. Presale begins Friday, with tickets available at tickets.adekunlegoldfuji.com.

The “Live Orchestra” concept, first debuted in Lagos and London in 2024, reimagines hits like “Sade,” “High,” and “5 Star” with a 30-piece orchestra featuring live strings, horns, and talking drums.

The venues — a 3,200-seat symphony theatre in Toronto and a prestigious arts center minutes from New York City — mark a clear upgrade from club shows, targeting the diaspora audience that grew up on his highlife-fusion sound.

Fans who followed his recent “Fuji” era will hear those songs with live instrumentation, no backing tracks.

The move follows a trend of Afrobeats maturation, from Burna Boy at Madison Square Garden to Tems with an orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl. Industry watchers see Gold positioning himself for virtuosity, not just vibes.
