The 63rd Miss International pageant has just witnessed a moment of profound cultural resonance. Faith Ekwebenam, Miss International Nigeria 2025, has unveiled her National Costume, a breathtaking creation titled “Mother Earth Nigeria.” A visual manifesto of sustainability, inclusion, and the resilient spirit of the Nigerian people.
Designed by the visionary Osemwengie Odion and brought to life with Faith’s creative artistry, the costume is a stunning homage to nature and heritage.
A Symphony of Culture and Nature
The “Mother Earth Nigeria” ensemble is a masterclass in using indigenous materials to tell a global story. Crafted from woven raffia, cowries, and the iconic Isi Agu fabric, the costume roots itself deeply in Nigerian tradition while projecting a universal message of eco-consciousness.
The Palette: Dominated by vibrant green and gold tones, the outfit symbolizes vitality and prosperity, reflecting the nation’s rich agricultural potential and cultural wealth.
The Silhouette: The costume features a structured, raffia-fringed skirt layered with bold Isi Agu patterns, creating a silhouette that is both regal and grounded. The back piece, a magnificent hand-painted cape, depicts a lush Nigerian landscape teeming with wildlife—a tiger, a toucan, and soaring birds—reminding the world of the beauty we must protect.
The Crowning Glory: A blooming headpiece of sunflowers and greenery signifies renewal and the nurturing power of the earth, crowning Faith as a true daughter of the soil.

A Collective Masterpiece
This visual triumph was a team effort. The costume was styled by celebrity stylist Jerry Reginald, ensuring every element flowed with grace. Her flawless, radiant look was crafted by Lagos-based celebrity makeup artist Amorluxe, and the striking images capturing this moment were taken by photographer Iyke Miracle.

A Queen on a Mission
Ekwebenam, the 28-year-old former Miss Anambra, has carried the hopes of the “Giant of Africa” with her since departing Lagos for Tokyo. Her journey is defined by purpose.
“Honoring my roots, celebrating my heritage,” Faith wrote, describing the inspiration behind the look. “‘Mother Earth Nigeria’ was born from my belief in inclusion, communal care, and our shared duty to protect one another… It celebrates Nigeria’s heritage and reminds us that beauty thrives when we protect both our planet and our people.”
As the grand finale on November 27, 2025, approaches, Ekwebenam has already made a powerful statement by wearing the conscience of her nation, presenting a Nigeria that is creative, resilient, and deeply connected to the earth.
