Nigerian superstar Davido has officially won the Best International Act at the 2026 Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA), further cementing his dominance across the African continent.

Davido’s latest win highlights his continued influence within Liberia’s entertainment scene, where he has previously collaborated with and supported local artists such as Kobazzie. As of late 2025, the Nigerian global star has amassed approximately 150 career awards, including a dominant performance at the 2025 EAEA Awards, where he secured four major wins, among them Continental Artist of the Year.

The ceremony, held on Sunday night in April 2026, marked the awards’ “Return to Greatness” after a five-year hiatus. The award was accepted on Davido’s behalf by Duke (@dedukeosy), as the Afrobeats hitmaker was not present at the event.

The LEA, established in 2009 by founder Tarkus Zonen, honours excellence across music, movies, fashion, and services, recognising Liberians both at home and in the diaspora. Nominees are selected through an academy-led review process following a public nomination phase.

The LEA’s return after half a decade marks a significant moment for Liberian entertainment, and Davido’s international recognition serves as a bridge between Nigeria’s powerhouse music industry and its West African neighbour.
