Nigerian music icon Peter Okoye, popularly known as Peter Psquare of the legendary P-Square duo, has arrived in Sierra Leone ahead of the country’s Independence Day celebration on April 27.
The singer shared a video of his arrival on social media, writing, “Sierra Leone, we are here! 🇸🇱🔥 Catch me LIVE tomorrow at the Independence Celebration + the official launch of the District Multipurpose Cooperative Society! It’s about to be a movie 🎬 See you there.”
Sierra Leone Independence Day is celebrated annually on April 27, marking the nation’s freedom from British colonial rule, achieved on April 27, 1961. The day is a national public holiday characterised by flag-raising ceremonies, parades, music, and cultural festivities that celebrate the nation’s heritage and unity.
Peter PSquare is scheduled to perform live at the independence celebration, which will also feature the official launch of the District Multipurpose Cooperative Society.
