American sports journalist and media entrepreneur Emily Austin has expressed her joy at being in Nigeria to host the highly anticipated celebrity boxing match between skit maker Carter Efe and singer Portable.

Austin served as a primary presenter for “Chaos in the Ring 4,” the headline event sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Federation and broadcast globally on DAZN. The bout, held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, saw Carter Efe defeat Portable via unanimous decision after three rounds.

Working alongside Ade Oladipo and David Adeleye, Austin covered the chaotic pre-fight press conferences and brought international visibility to Nigeria’s growing influencer boxing scene. The event was a joint production between Amir Khan Promotions and Balmoral Live.

The 24-year-old sports broadcaster, known for her NBA coverage and podcast “The Hoop Chat w/ Emily Austin,” has built a career bridging sports and lifestyle. She also serves as CEO of skincare brand People’s Beauty and has been a judge for Miss Universe.
