Zara Simon-Ogan, the natural hair educator, violinist and digital creator widely known as EfikZara, has announced she is getting married in January to Hayatu Gurama Mahmoud.
In a post on her Instagram account, Simon-Ogan said she was still processing the moment.
“Wow… I still can’t believe I’m taking this journey down the aisle with my best friend,” she wrote. “It feels so surreal, and I can’t wait for you guys to see the real pre-wedding photos!”
She described Mahmoud as her best friend. The announcement post didn’t name him.
Simon-Ogan said she’ll now post her wedding hair content on a dedicated page, @efikzarahair, and urged followers to subscribe.
She also thanked @theberylwoman and @amutastone for being present at the pre-wedding shoot.
“You guys made the day even more special,” she said.
She closed with a promise about the wedding month: “January is about to be TOO lit.”
Simon-Ogan has built a following by blending modern hair science, traditional herbalism and classical artistry.
She is a classically trained professional violinist and composer, and her work as a natural hair educator has made her a prominent voice in the online hair community.
Simon-Ogan said the full set of pre-wedding photos will be released later.
