Nigeria’s own Tony Elumelu, iconic banker and global philanthropist, once again took his seat at the world’s most influential tables, this time sharing dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the historic Palais de l’Elysée in Paris.

For Tony, these high-level engagements are nothing new. The UBA chairman has become the continent’s unofficial economic ambassador, recently meeting and dining with leaders such as the President of Gabon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Congo Brazzaville, Angola, Sierra Leone, Senegal, the UAE, and even royalty like Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. Notably, Elumelu donated $500,000 to the Ethiopian government to promote peace and stability, a move that underscores his commitment to pan-African progress.

His Paris rendezvous is a signals Africa’s growing seat at the global table, with Elumelu championing cross-continental trade, economic partnerships, and peace.
