Tems has pulled off yet another masterstroke. In the soft glow of Friday, November 21st, 2025, the Nigerian global sensation quietly released a brand-new EP titled “Love Is a Kingdom”—a body of work that feels intimate, deliberate, and deeply personal. The release arrives just months before she takes the stage as one of the marquee performers at the first-ever HBCU Aware Fest, scheduled for March 26, 2026.
Released through RCA Records and Since ’93, the EP is already stirring conversations for its raw emotional palette and Tems’ unmistakable vocal signature. While many artists announce new projects with loud, choreographed fanfare, Tems’ approach was the opposite—an unannounced drop, almost spiritual in delivery, reminding fans that she creates on her own terms.
In the run-up to HBCU Aware Fest—touted as the largest HBCU fundraising event in history—Tems positions herself alongside headliners such as John Legend, Jill Scott, Earth, Wind & Fire, Metro Boomin, and GloRilla. For Tems, whose music has traveled globally, this festival represents a meaningful cultural homecoming: a bridge between African artistry and Black American legacy.
The fest celebrates Black academic excellence and community empowerment. Tems’ presence speaks to the unity of a global Black identity—one that connects diaspora, heritage, and creative power.
Love Is a Kingdom feels like a gift wrapped in vulnerability, dropped at the perfect moment. As March approaches, her kingdom—and her voice—continue to expand.
