The actress, who stars in the new Timini Egbuson film, shared a series of breathtaking photos captioned simply “Love and light,” yet the statement made was anything but simple.
As the film smashes records, grossing ₦106 million to become Nollywood’s biggest opening weekend of 2026, Alakija’s latest look is a masterclass in high-drama dressing, perfectly capturing the high-stakes glamour of the moment.
For the shoot, Alakija turned to Abuja-based celebrity stylist Munachi, who crafted a look that was both fierce and exquisitely detailed. The centrepiece was a floor-length, strapless gown that hugged the actress’s curves before flaring at the hem.
Rendered in a shimmering, metallic tiger-print jacquard, the dress was a nod to classic animal magnetism. But this was no ordinary gown. The true artistry lay in the bodice: an avant-garde, sculptural embellishment that coiled around the décolletage in a wave of glittering black and gold crystals. Rising from the bust, the structure extended into an impressive, tail-like arc that swept dramatically past her shoulder, creating an asymmetrical silhouette that felt both organic and otherworldly.

The beauty look, conceived by international makeup artist IV’s Touch, was just as intentional. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek, polished chignon, a sophisticated choice that directed all focus to the magnificent sculptural detail of the dress.
