Simon Guobadia deported to Nigeria amid messy divorce battle with Porsha Williams

Simon Guobadia, the embattled estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porshaw Williams, is back on Nigerian soil after months behind ICE bars and a dramatic deportation saga triggered by intensified crackdowns under lingering Trump-era policies.

US Weekly confirms that Guobadia — who first touched down in America in 1982 — was quietly released from the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, then deported back home. According to close friend and business partner Tai Savet, Simon is “in good spirits” despite the abrupt homecoming.

Guobadia’s immigration trail is a web of tangled paperwork: deported once back in 1992 for overstaying a visa, he reportedly regained permanent residency the same year under a yet-to-be-disclosed identity — a twist that now haunts his American dream.

Meanwhile, the reality TV star’s divorce drama rages on from Atlanta to Lagos. Williams, who married Guobadia on November 25, 2022, pulled the plug just 15 months later in February 2024, citing irreconcilable differences — and walked away with exclusive use of their mansion while lawyers chew over the money.

The ex-couple’s courtroom showdown, repeatedly stalled by Simon’s ICE custody, is heating up this week. A key hearing to hash out the hotly contested prenuptial agreement — which could dictate who walks away with what — is locked in for Wednesday.

With Guobadia beaming in by video from Nigeria, Williams has asked permission to appear virtually too, arguing that her whirlwind reality TV calendar can’t be paused and that every gig helps plug the financial holes left by Guobadia’s alleged failure to hold up his end of the temporary support deal.

“The outcome of the prenup motion could settle some issues and spark fresh battles on others,” Guobadia’s lawyer admitted to the court.

As it stands, the judge hasn’t decided if Williams can stay remote for the hearing. But one thing’s certain: deported or not, Simon Guobadia’s legal saga with Atlanta’s favorite peach is far from over — and this divorce might get messier before it’s done.
