In a bold move to harness the power of digital media for national growth, the Office of the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, in partnership with the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced the Progressive Digital Media Summit, set to take place on August 1–2, 2025.
The highly anticipated summit will convene in Abuja, uniting key voices from across Nigeria’s digital ecosystem—and beyond—to explore the theme: “Unveiling the Critical Role of New Media in National Development with a Focus on the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Progressive Digital Media Summit
At the heart of this groundbreaking event is the mission to spotlight how social media, digital journalism, content creation, and civic tech are driving President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda forward—by reshaping public discourse, fostering transparency, and energizing citizen engagement.
The summit is expected to attract a diverse lineup of participants, including media innovators, influencers, policy makers, journalists, tech developers, government officials, and members of the global Nigerian digital diaspora. Discussions will center on how to leverage online platforms to deepen democratic participation, amplify national narratives, and create actionable pathways for sustainable development.
“This summit isn’t just a talkshop—it’s a call to action for Nigeria’s digital vanguard,” said a spokesperson from the Office of the Special Assistant on Social Media. “We’re bringing together thinkers and doers who understand the stakes and the power of the digital space to transform governance, promote accountability, and build the Nigeria of tomorrow.”
With panels, keynote speeches, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities, the Progressive Digital Media Summit promises to be a defining moment in the conversation around media and nation-building.
Registration is now open, and digital practitioners, advocates, and thought leaders are encouraged to sign up and secure their place at the table.
