Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and reality TV star Phyna got physical during a taping of The Morayo Show, days after signing contracts for a celebrity boxing match.
Footage from the set shows Phyna confronting Blessing before the exchange turned physical. Crew members intervened to separate them.
The altercation occurred while both were appearing on the show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, to discuss their ongoing feud.
The dispute began when Blessing publicly accused Phyna of having a poor attitude and acting as an online nuisance following a casting misunderstanding on one of Blessing’s film productions. Phyna responded with insults online, and the back-and-forth escalated over several weeks.
Both entertainers recently signed contracts for a sanctioned exhibition boxing bout. The match is scheduled for 1 October 2026, Nigeria’s Independence Day, at the Federal Reserve Palace Hotel in Lagos.
Balmoral Promotions and Eazy Adamu are organising the event. It will be broadcast internationally on DAZN and across Africa on SuperSport.
Blessing and Phyna have both documented their training on Instagram. Blessing promised to deliver a severe beating, while Phyna vowed to embarrass the actress on fight night.
The boxing match remains scheduled for 1 October.
