Nigerian-Ugandan rapper Ms Banks stepped out at London Fashion Week 2026 in head-to-toe Burberry, and she made sure the moment was documented.
The London-based superstar shared multiple photos from the event on her social media pages, writing simply: “A dream come true 🥹 Burberry Banks.”
She wore a signature Burberry cream double-breasted trench coat styled as a midi dress. The piece featured a deep V-neckline with wide lapels, padded shoulders with epaulette detailing and long sleeves with buckled strap cuffs. Two rows of large gold-tone buttons ran down the front, and the coat was cinched at the waist before falling just below the knee in a slight A-line.
She carried a small structured top-handle mini bag in white with a Black snakeskin print in her right hand. Her shoes were Black open-toe heeled mules with thin straps.
Her hair was pulled into a sleek high ponytail. She wore dramatic winged eyeliner, long lashes, glossy lips and a light-coloured manicure, with small stud earrings finishing the look.
Ms Banks, whose real name is Thyra Kigho Deshaun Oji, has built a reputation for sharp wordplay and themes of female empowerment. Raised in Camberwell, South London, she grew up in a musically diverse household shaped by her cultural roots and her father’s collection of classic hip-hop CDs.
Her projects include early mixtapes ‘Once Upon a Grind’ in 2014 and ‘The Coldest Winter Ever’ series from 2018 to 2019. In March 2026, she released her debut studio album, ‘SOUTH LDN LOVER GIRL’. She also served as part of the opening act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool alongside Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra.
Burberry, founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, is one of Britain’s most storied luxury houses. The brand built its name on gabardine, a breathable weatherproof fabric that became the foundation for the trench coat. Today it blends that heritage with modern silhouettes under contemporary design leadership.
