Sony Music Publishing West Africa announced the signing of the Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and recording artist LADIPOE on October 23, welcoming him to the SMP family.
The company praised his craft in a statement. “Renowned for his distinctive lyricism, sharp wordplay, and thoughtful storytelling, LADIPOE has established himself as one of the most compelling voices in African hip-hop.”
SMP also noted his crossover reach. “He continues to push creative boundaries while bridging hip-hop and Afrobeats.”
The signing lands during a strong stretch for the rapper. He earned a 2026 BET Hip Hop Awards nomination for Best International Flow and released his latest album, REVIVAL. His catalogue includes “Know You” featuring Simi and the 2021 hit “Feeling” with Bnxn.
Born Ladipo Eso, he made history in 2017 as the first rapper signed to Mavin Records after the label’s rebranding. He’s known to fans as the “Leader of the Revival.”
SMP closed its announcement simply: “We’re honoured to welcome LADIPOE to the family.”
