Nigeria’s Chidinma Grace Uvere has claimed the 2nd runner-up position at the 2026 Miss Fitness Supermodel World grand finale in Vietnam.
Uvere advanced steadily through the elimination stages, breaking into the Top 10, then the Top 5, before securing her place on the podium.
Japan’s Chika Mizuno was crowned winner. Carla Daniela Brandt Sequera of Venezuela finished as 1st runner-up.
The result extends Nigeria’s upward trajectory in the global fitness pageant. The country placed 4th runner-up in 2024, then improved to 3rd runner-up in 2025. This year’s finish marks another step forward.
Earlier in the preliminary events, Uvere also won the Best in Fashion special category.
She arrived in Vietnam ahead of the competition and introduced herself at the sash ceremony as a representative of the “Giant of Africa,” drawing praise from Nigerians online.
Her placement adds to a strong year for Nigerian pageantry. Soye Karibi-George reached the Top 12 at Miss World 2026, Samuel Ayeloja finished 3rd runner-up at Manhunt International 2026, and David Chikaodi won Best National Costume at Mister Fitness Supermodel World 2026.
Uvere is expected to return to Nigeria in the coming days.
