Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has carved her name into African football legend once again, securing the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award for the third consecutive year. The 24-year-old star was honoured on Wednesday night at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco—an achievement that elevates her into a rare class of continental dominance.

Nnadozie, who now plies her trade at Brighton, enjoyed a spectacular year. She was in goal for every match as Nigeria powered to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title earlier in 2025, conceding just three goals throughout the tournament. Her calm command of the box, sharp reflexes, and leadership earned her the Goalkeeper of the Tournament prize in Morocco.

At the CAF Awards, she beat Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to the prestigious honour. In her acceptance speech, Nnadozie thanked CAF, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), her Super Falcons teammates, and her club coaches: “This award belongs to everyone who believed in me.”

Her club résumé also shone brightly; she lifted the Coupe de France Féminine during her time with Paris FC before moving to England.

Nnadozie’s latest recognition adds to an already glittering year in which she finished fourth in the women’s category of the Yachine Trophy at the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

It was also a triumphant night for Nigeria. The Super Falcons were crowned Women’s National Team of the Year, outclassing Ghana and Morocco after reclaiming their continental crown.

Other winners included Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak, named Africa’s best women’s player, and Morocco’s U-20 men’s team, recognised for their World Cup-winning heroics.
