Nigerian hair stylist and entrepreneur Helen Williams has secured her place in the Guinness World Records for a third time, this time by creating the tallest wig ever recorded.
The monumental hairpiece measures a staggering 15.37 metres (50.42 feet) in height—taller than a four-story building. The record was officially verified by Guinness World Records on November 13, 2024.

This achievement adds to Williams’s impressive portfolio of record-breaking creations. She previously held the titles for the widest wig (5.28 metres) and the longest handmade wig (350.59 metres), establishing herself as a global pioneer in dramatic hair artistry.
Williams described constructing the tallest wig as her “greatest challenge so far.” The wig, made from synthetic kanekalon hair, required a specialised adhesive and a robust internal structure to maintain its vertical integrity. Due to its considerable size and weight, moving and displaying the wig demands a team of assistants and careful planning.
Through her work, Williams aims to push the boundaries of beauty and creativity. “There are no limits in life,” she stated, “only new heights to reach.” Her latest record not only showcases extraordinary craftsmanship but also serves as an inspiration, proving that with dedication, even the most towering goals are attainable.
