In a moment that blended regal grace with continental purpose, Olori Atuwatse III, wife of the Olu of Warri, arrived in Botswana to a warm, rhythmic reception ahead of Elevate Africa 2025, a landmark leadership and development summit themed “Africa: The Next Chapter.”

The royal couple was greeted with drummers, dancers, and vibrant cultural displays that filled the air with music, color, and emotion — a celebration Olori Atuwatse described as “the sound of the drums, the rhythm of the dancers, and the warmth of their smiles filling the atmosphere with life and joy.”
Dressed in a deep red beaded kaftan paired with a matching gele, the Olori radiated calm confidence and elegance as she addressed journalists at a press conference in Gaborone. Sitting beside Her Excellency Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mauritius, she spoke passionately about Africa’s collective future and the summit’s mission to align leadership, strengthen institutions, and accelerate transformation across sectors.
“Our discussions reinforced a shared vision to position Africa as a global partner in innovation, policy development, and sustainable growth,” she said. “As we prepare for Elevate Africa 2025, I am confident that Africa’s next chapter will reflect the excellence, resilience, and collective intelligence that define our continent.”

Throughout her visit, Olori Atuwatse III’s poise and presence have drawn admiration. In a series of photos, she is seen sharing light-hearted moments with Gurib-Fakim, exchanging smiles and insights, while her husband, His Majesty the Olu of Warri, looked on with quiet pride.
