In a spectacular and emotional grand finale held at the Midwest Conference Center on August 31st, history was made as Josephine Nwaogu, proudly representing Enugu State, was crowned Miss Diaspora Nigeria-USA 2025, outshining 16 remarkable contestants to claim the prestigious title.

The crown was gracefully passed by outgoing queen Oyemen Ehikhamhen, an award-winning Nigerian-American actress and UCLA MFA graduate, who inspired many with her reign. Her motto, “The sky is our springboard,” embodied the pageant’s vision of empowerment through the arts and youth advocacy.
Josephine’s win is a shining testament to the mission of Miss Diaspora Nigeria-USA, celebrating Nigerian beauty, intelligence, and cultural pride across the diaspora. With auditions staged in Houston, New York, and Toronto, the pageant has grown into a movement, building confidence, amplifying heritage, and creating opportunities for young Nigerian women abroad.
