US-based fashion model and wellness coach Kiana Alexis has joined the Organisation for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN NYC) to help mobilise the diaspora for the 66th Nigeria Independence Day Parade in Manhattan.
Alexis, who is of Nigerian, German and Ghanaian descent, shared the announcement on social media on Tuesday. “Some of you might be wondering what I’ve been up to lately! I’m now part of @oan_nyc helping our Nigerian community and allies to join us 10/03/26 @ 10 am for kickoff of Nigerian Independence Day! @bnxn is bringing those proper Naija vibes! All are welcome! Stay tuned for more,” she posted.
The parade is scheduled for Saturday, 3 October 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on East 38th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue. Organisers have confirmed that Afrobeats star BNXN will perform at the event, which is open to the public and organised in partnership with the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York.
Alexis, represented by Muse Models NYC, has appeared in campaigns for Victoria’s Secret and Verb Products. She also founded Keys By Ki, a holistic nutrition and fitness coaching platform, after documenting her personal transformation of losing 125 pounds naturally over three years.
