South Africa’s firebrand politician and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, made a stop in Lagos over the weekend, where he was warmly received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.
Malema, who arrived through the Lagos airport on his way to Enugu for the 2025 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference, was accompanied by his delegation. Also present at the courtesy call was Babatunde Ogala, chairman of the NBA Conference Logistics Committee.
Renowned across the continent for his fierce advocacy on economic justice, Pan-Africanism, and good governance, Malema reaffirmed his unwavering stand against xenophobia, urging Africans to strengthen unity rather than division.
The NBA conference, billed to run from August 22 to 30 in Enugu, will bring together legal minds, policymakers, and thought leaders from across Africa to interrogate pressing issues of law, justice, and the future of governance on the continent.
