Osun State has been jolted by a major political twist as Governor Ademola Adeleke—popularly known as Davido’s uncle—officially resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The resignation, dated November 4, 2025, was addressed to the PDP Ward 2 Chairman in Sagba Abogunde, Ede North.
In the letter personally signed by him, Governor Adeleke cited the escalating crisis within the PDP’s national leadership as the reason for his exit. He also extended gratitude to the party for the platform that produced him as Senator for Osun West and later as Governor.
The announcement was released by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, marking a dramatic shift in Osun’s political landscape.
Adeleke’s next political destination now becomes the biggest question in Osun’s unfolding power play.
