Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Farida Auduson Ibrahim, popularly known as Sultana, has revealed that she chose to embrace Islam after growing up in an interfaith home.

The 25-year-old plus-size model shared her story during a candid late-night conversation with fellow housemate Zita on Wednesday. When asked whether her parents were strict Muslims, Sultana replied with refreshing honesty.
“No, I actually grew up going to both church and mosque. My dad is Muslim, and my mom is Christian. At some point, I was even baptized in the Catholic Church — my baptismal name is Josephine,” she said. “But as I got older, I decided to follow the faith that works best for me — Islam.”

Sultana, who hails from Adamawa State on her father’s side and Yala, Cross River State on her mother’s, said her decision was based on personal conviction, not pressure.
Her openness about faith and identity has sparked conversations among fans, many praising her courage for choosing and standing firm in what she believes in.
