Nollywood star Yvonne Okoro is taking no prisoners as she drags a Nigerian blog to the cleaners for peddling fake news about her love life. The controversial blog, Naija Boss Vlog, posted a viral Facebook confession, falsely quoting Yvonne as admitting she’d “been dumped many times” and was “still open to love” at 40—a desperate attempt at clickbait that crossed the line into outright defamation.
Yvonne, through her legal bulldogs at M&O Law Consult, has slapped the bloggers with a cease-and-desist letter, demanding an immediate public apology, total removal of the post, and a full retraction across all social media platforms. Her lawyers didn’t mince words, calling out the post as a “gross misrepresentation” and warning it could cause “significant and irreparable harm” to her reputation and career.
The actress categorically denied ever making such statements—publicly or privately—and is now standing tall to protect her image and integrity. If the bloggers fail to meet her demands by 6pm, Yvonne is ready to take them to court and set an example for reckless online gossip-mongers.
Let this be a lesson: in the age of viral stories, clout-chasing bloggers should think twice before dragging someone’s name for cheap likes. Yvonne Okoro is not your headline fodder—respect her name, or get ready for legal smoke.

RE: DEMAND TO RETRACT AND APOLOGIZE FOR DEFAMATORY STATEMENTS ABOUT YVONNE CHINYERE OKORO OKEREKE
We are solicitors for Yvonne Chinyere Okoro Okereke (“Our Client”).
We are instructed to demand an immediate apology and retraction of the defamatory statements published on your Facebook vlog dated 15th May, 2025. In the said post you falsely attributed to Our Client a personal statement implying that she had “been dumped many times,” along with other baseless and unfounded assertions.
The Vlog post reads:
‘Yes, I’ve been dumped, many times. I am 40 years for God sake, do you think I have not given love a chance before? People think being a celebrity means everything in your life is perfect. But I’ve faced heartbreak like any other woman. I’ve loved deeply, given my all, and still ended up being left behind. Sometimes, it broke me. Other times, it made me stronger. Each experience taught me something new about myself and about love.
I used to blame myself, thinking maybe I wasn’t enough. But now I know better. Being dumped doesn’t define my worth. It simply means those men weren’t meant for me. I’m still standing, still believing, and still open to love. And to every woman out there going through the same, wipe your tears. You’re not alone, and better days will come.’

Our Client categorically states that she has never made such comments, whether publicly or privately. The attribution of these statements to her is entirely false and defamatory. Your publication constitutes a gross misrepresentation of Our Client’s private life and a serious violation of her reputation and public image.
Your actions have the potential to cause significant and irreparable harm to Our Client’s personal and professional standing. Our Client is determined not to allow such defamatory conduct to go unchallenged.
We hereby demand the following:
a. The immediate and permanent removal of the said post from your vlog and any other associated platforms;
b. A full and unreserved public apology acknowledging that the statements are false and defamatory; and
c. The publication of the said apology on your vlog and on all other platforms where the defamatory material has appeared or is likely to have reached.
Should you fail to comply with the above demands by 6pm today, 16th May 2025, we shall seek legal redress in court without further recourse to you.
Yours faithfully,
