LONDON — Ayra Starr’s third studio album, Starrgirl, has entered Spotify’s Top Albums Debut UK chart at No. 3.
The 16-track project, released on 14 August through Mavin Records and Republic Records, appears behind Phoebe Bridgers’ Lost Weekend and Jungle’s Sunshine on the UK chart for 14–16 August.
The UK debut follows the album’s No. 2 entry on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global chart. Starrgirl recorded 3,941,409 first-day streams globally on Spotify, with 1.82 million from Nigeria.
The album also topped Apple Music Nigeria and iTunes Nigeria within 24 hours of release.
Starrgirl features collaborations with Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, Leon Thomas, Danny Ocean, kwn and Theodora. Its lead singles include “Where Do We Go,” “Tornado” and “Gimme Dat.”
Ayra Starr has described the album as a project that gave her room to experiment across genres. The record continues her run of chart appearances in major Spotify markets.
Official first-week UK and global streaming totals are expected early next week.
