The match, played at the WAFU B tournament venue in West Africa, saw Nigeria take control early and maintain momentum throughout the encounter. Janet Akekoromowei opened the scoring in the 17th minute after capitalizing on a defensive lapse, putting the Falconets ahead. Alaba Olabiyi extended the lead just six minutes later with a composed finish in the 23rd minute. The final goal came in the second half when Kareem Ramotalahi found the net in the 60th minute, sealing a well-deserved win for Nigeria.
