Miss Universe Nigeria 2026, Danielle Adewusi, has released her official headshot ahead of the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico this November.
She announced the release alongside news that the Miss Universe Fan Vote is officially open.
“OFFICIAL HEADSHOT | MISS UNIVERSE NIGERIA 🇳🇬 The time has come — the Miss Universe Fan Vote is officially OPEN!” she wrote.
She urged Nigerians to vote through the official Miss Universe website or the MU Fan app to help Nigeria advance to the Top 30.
“An individual doesn’t win an international pageant. A nation does. It’s time to show the universe that Nigeria has arrived!” Adewusi said.
How the Fan Vote Works
Miss Universe confirmed the voting mechanism in a separate announcement.
“The next move is YOURS. The Miss Universe Fan Vote is officially OPEN! Your favourite delegate. Your vote. A spot in the TOP 30,” the organisation said.
The delegate with the most votes will automatically advance to the Top 30 at the 2026 competition in Puerto Rico.
Voting is available at the official Miss Universe website and through the MU Fan app on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
“Make it count. Vote now!” the organisation added.
A Historic Bid
Adewusi, a medical doctor and women’s health advocate, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2026 in September. She is the daughter of Anthonia Okogbenin, who won the same title in 1991 — making her the first daughter of a former queen to claim the national crown.
She campaigns under the tag #TheCrownIsMedical and founded Scrub the Stigma, a charity focused on women’s health education and medical bill support for vulnerable mothers.
The 75th Miss Universe competition takes place in November in Puerto Rico.
