Kizz Daniel cancels two US stops on ‘Uncle K Tour’ amid uncertainty, Baltimore and L.A. shows pulled

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has unexpectedly canceled two major shows in the U.S. leg of his “Uncle K Tour,” sparking disappointment among fans and renewed questions about the reliability of Afrobeats tours in the States.

According to updated listings, the May 24 show at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, and the June 1 concert at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California, have both been officially marked as “CANCELLED.” These dates were part of the high-profile rollout of Kizz Daniel’s international tour, anticipated to feature hits like “Twe Twe” and “Buga.”

The cancellations come without an official explanation from the artist or his management, leaving fans scrambling for refunds and wondering about the future of the tour’s remaining dates.

The news echoes a similar situation involving fellow Nigerian star Wizkid, who pulled the plug on nearly all his U.S. tour dates earlier this year due to “unforeseen logistical issues.” While the Afrobeats wave continues to ride high globally, tour logistics and execution have increasingly come under scrutiny, especially for Nigerian acts navigating North American infrastructure.

Kizz Daniel’s move has drawn mixed reactions. Some loyal fans cite understandable challenges tied to scheduling, visas, or tour logistics. Others, however, criticize the lack of transparency and last-minute communication that seems to plague many Afrobeats international rollouts.

While no official statement has been made, the industry will be watching closely for how Kizz Daniel’s team handles the fallout—and whether the remaining tour dates can proceed without more turbulence.di consequatur.
