During the launch at Novotel Abidjan-Marcory, Managing Director Serge Gbotta described the project—valued at 100 billion CFA francs, as a vote of confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s industrial future. “This plant is a symbol of our faith in Africa’s growth and our commitment to empowering local industries,” he said.

The Attingué plant, now Dangote’s 11th in Africa, will create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs, foster skills training through the Dangote Academy, and reduce the country’s dependence on imported cement. Commercial Director Stéphane Tchimou added that the company would support local retailers with credit facilities and distribution networks.

Chairman Aliko Dangote reaffirmed the group’s mission: “Africa’s story must be one of production and progress.” The new facility will serve as a key hub for regional trade, producing premium cement for both domestic and export markets.
