Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has officially announced that her third studio album, titled “Starr Girl,” is scheduled for release in July 2026.
The 23-year-old Nigerian singer announced her special guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, April 16, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience.

“My album ‘Starr Girl’ is dropping in July,” she declared as the crowd cheered. “I’m so proud of this body of work.” She paused before continuing, “I’m so happy that I made that album, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
The album serves as the follow-up to her critically acclaimed sophomore project, “The Year I Turned 21,” released in May 2024, which featured hits including “Rush,” “Commas,” and “Santa.”
The announcement follows the March 2026 release of her single “Where Do We Go,” which is expected to appear on the upcoming album.
During her appearance on the popular daytime talk show, Ayra Starr also reflected on her recent achievements, including winning Best International Act at the MOBO Awards for the second consecutive year in March 2026.
The “Starr Girl” album announcement signals a new chapter for the Mavin Records star, who has rapidly become one of Afrobeats’ most recognisable global exports. Details regarding the album’s tracklist and featured artists have not yet been revealed.
The July release positions Ayra Starr for a strong summer campaign as she continues to build on her growing international footprint.
