Billionaire avengers tour Dangote refinery, Otedola applauds Tinubu’s Lekki miracle

It was a power-packed gathering at the Dangote Refinery, as Nigeria’s business elite and global icons converged to witness what Femi Otedola called “the eighth wonder of the modern era.” President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, joined by tech titan Bill Gates, billionaire Abdulsamad Rabiu, and business mogul Femi Otedola, toured the $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant—now the world’s largest single-train refinery.

Reflecting on the occasion, Otedola declared, “Today, I witnessed history.” The visit was more than just a facility tour; it marked the commissioning of newly completed road projects and reaffirmed Tinubu’s legacy of economic transformation.

Otedola traced the roots of this monumental achievement to President Tinubu’s era as Lagos State governor over two decades ago: “He envisioned an economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast—what we now know as the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Today, that vision stands tall in steel, concrete, and ambition.”

Citing Tinubu’s leadership, Otedola added, “A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be. That is the essence of President Tinubu. Nigeria is rising and those of us who believe in her will continue to support the bold reforms that will make her the greatest transformation story of the 21st century.”

The synergy of industry leaders and the vision of Tinubu have set Nigeria on an undeniable path to industrial greatness. As the sun set on the Lekki horizon, it was clear that Nigeria’s transformation story has only just begun.
