Melissa Eyang has shared her first remarks since being crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria, describing the moment as the beginning of a new chapter.
She posted the message on social media alongside two full-length studio portraits taken against a dark charcoal grey backdrop. In both frames, Eyang poses with her hands resting lightly on her hips, looking directly at the camera, her long dark hair parted to the side and her makeup polished with defined eyes and nude lips.
“The beginning of a new chapter 🤍 SUPRA-LISA 🥹🤭,” she wrote.
Eyang thanked her followers for their support throughout the pageant journey.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank you all for the love and support. I had the amazing opportunity of meeting 19 beautiful contestants, learning from every single one of them, and sharing this experience!” she said.
She extended appreciation to the Miss Universe Nigeria organisers and official sponsors.
She also gave a special shout-out to Danielle Adewusi, who was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2026 at the same finale.
“And to @danielle_adewusi, you know how much I love being in this together!!!” she wrote.
The gown did much of the talking. A champagne mermaid silhouette, its corset bodice is encrusted in silver crystals, rhinestones and pearl beading in swirling baroque patterns, with a heavily beaded centre panel. Two large pleated satin loops in the same champagne tone sweep forward from the shoulders around the torso, ending in crystal brooches at the waist, a dramatic, wing-like effect. The skirt hugs the hips, fully beaded in gold and silver, before flaring slightly at the hem, with a sheer tulle overskirt trailing behind her on the floor.
Eyang, who competed as Miss Delta, will represent Nigeria at the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland. She follows Gift Eno Ndah, who achieved Nigeria’s historic 3rd runner-up placement at Miss Supranational 2026.
She is of mixed Nigerian and Equatorial Guinean heritage, speaks four languages and runs a consulting firm, Kairos, focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
