Nigeria’s Abure Ebosetale won the Best Swimwear award at the 20th Mister International pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, and advanced to the Top 10 before exiting the competition.
The grand finale was held on Saturday, 26 September 2026. Mexico’s Andrés Briseño Briseño was crowned Mister International 2026. Spain finished as 1st runner-up, with Indonesia taking 2nd runner-up.
Abure also won Best Arrival in Phuket, giving him two preliminary accolades.
He advanced automatically into the Top 20 through his preliminary performances, then pushed further into the Top 10 before bowing out.
The 22-year-old hails from Edo State. He is an architect, model, artist and aeronautical engineering graduate from the University of Benin.
Abure made history as the first-ever Mister Edo 2025 before capturing the MisterInternational Nigeria 2026 title. He champions child education and youth creativity through his humanitarian initiative, Project NextGen.
His placement continues Nigeria’s strong recent showing in global male pageantry. Samuel Ayeloja finished as 3rd runner-up at Manhunt International earlier this month, and Samuel Nwajagu won Mister International in 2024.
