A TikTok creator’s wedding joy lasted less than a day. Hours after exchanging vows, her husband Carlos was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Seattle, Washington.
The creator, Kamryn Pariso, known online as Kamy, shared the news in an emotional video and later posted a GoFundMe campaign detailing her race against time.
“So this morning, my husband got detained by ICE. I just can’t even describe the feeling of pain in my heart right now that I’m feeling. To like literally say I do yesterday and have him picked up and detained today. I’m just like I’m in so much fucking pain, and I can’t even imagine what he’s going through right now,” she said.
In her GoFundMe remarks, Kamy revealed that ICE told her a hearing is expected within two to three weeks.
“ICE told me directly that he is expected to have a hearing regarding his situation in approximately 2–3 weeks. I am terrified that without adequate legal representation, he could ultimately be deported. I am also terrified of losing even more access to my husband,” she wrote.
She said lawyers warned her that ICE may transfer detained people to facilities in other states, which would make communication and coordination much harder for spouses and family members.
“I am trying to move as quickly as I possibly can before his case progresses or he is moved farther away,” she added.
Kamy set a GoFundMe target of $6,000. She has raised nearly $3,000 from 45 donations so far.
She is also selling her husband’s car to raise additional money for legal fees.
“I’m trying to, like, drive his car, trying to, like, I just cleaned it out the last few hours, and I’m trying to, like, go bring it to the car wash, just trying to get it together so I can, like, make this car look nice because I’m trying to sell the car for lawyers’ fees and everything,” she said in the video.

The detention comes as the Trump administration continues an aggressive deportation agenda, expanding immigration enforcement across the country. For Kamy, the policy has landed at her doorstep in the most personal way possible, turning what should have been the happiest moment of her life into a legal battle.
She did not disclose her husband’s country of origin or immigration status. She did not say whether he had a prior removal order or a pending case.

For now, the bride is left fighting to keep her husband from being taken away, a reality faced by thousands of families caught in the widening net of U.S. immigration enforcement.
