In the audio snippet shared on his Instagram, Portable sings: “They said I abused naira,” accusing the anti‑graft agency of witch‑hunting him because he rose from poverty. The track, recorded immediately after the EFCC invitation, has ignited widespread debate online.

While boldly dissing the agency, Portable insisted he is not fleeing. In a video statement, he said his lawyers advised him to honour the invitation in September 2026.

He also raised an alarm that Access Bank froze his account containing over ₦400 billion – funds he claims are legitimate Apple Music earnings. He expressed fear of visiting the bank, worried they would alert the EFCC to detain him.

Some fans praised his ability to turn legal trouble into music, while others warned that the EFCC has jailed figures like Bobrisky for similar currency offences.
