Nigerian singer Shaboozey has earned multiple nominations for the 2026 American Music Awards, continuing his remarkable rise in the country music scene.
The “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” hitmaker is nominated for Best Male Country Artist, Collaboration of the Year for “Amen” with Jelly Roll, and Best Country Song for “Good News.” The nominations follow a breakout 2025 where he received seven nods, including New Artist of the Year.
Born Collins Chibueze to Nigerian parents, Shaboozey has rapidly become one of country music’s most distinctive voices. His genre-blending sound, which fuses traditional country storytelling with Afrobeats and hip-hop influences, has earned him critical acclaim and a growing fanbase across multiple demographics.
The 52nd American Music Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, May 25, at 8:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+.
