The Giant of Africa has found a new frequency, and it is broadcasting from the mind of a teenager. Daniel Adeluyi has become the first Nigerian in history to advance to the semi-finals of the 2025 Breakthrough Junior Challenge in the United States.
Out of thousands of global entries, this Brickhall School alum has secured his spot in the Top 30, effectively putting the nation on the map in one of the world’s most high-stakes arenas for teenage intellect.
His submission is a dynamic, two-minute visual odyssey that demystifies the concept of wormholes. He took the Einstein-Rosen bridge—a concept that usually requires a PhD to digest—and served it up with the clarity of a storyteller and the precision of a physicist.
On his motivation, Daniel dropped this bar: “Wormholes represent a path to reaching the seemingly unreachable. Physics can turn ideas that seem impossible into things that could become real. My love for adventure, science, and media came together perfectly in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge.”
