Nollywood actress, comedian, and red carpet host Remi Jolaosho has fired a strong shot at what she calls a toxic trend in human relationships.
In a video clip shared online, she didn’t mince words while addressing people who hurt others and then attempt to slip back into their lives without apology.
“So there’s this nonsense pattern many of you are fond of doing,” she said sternly. “You will offend somebody, you will do something extremely painful, hurtful to somebody, and instead of apologizing immediately, you will try to give it time, hoping that when you come back, the person will have forgotten, and a simple hello or hi will solve the problem. You must be mad.”
She didn’t stop there. Jolaosho doubled down on her zero-tolerance policy. “If you are doing this to other people, you don’t try it with me. Because, as far as I’m concerned, the moment you go far away from me for something that you did wrong, you are never coming back. I do not have fake energy, and I’m not going to give it.”
The fiery warning has since sparked conversations online, with fans applauding her bluntness and echoing her call for accountability.
Beyond her viral clapback, Jolaosho is also making waves in Nollywood. She recently starred in Ovisa, the gripping story of a determined young woman who fakes her way into opportunity, only to discover that every lie comes at a cost.
The film has already made its mark, screening at AFRIFF 2024, securing an official selection at Lift-off Filmmaker 3 (2024), and earning both nominee and finalist slots at The Filmjoint 2025. Fans can expect its official release on Accelerate TV’s YouTube channel in June 2025.
