The 2025 Detty December festivities reached a fever pitch Monday night as American rapper Gunna brought his Wun World Tour to the Ilubirin waterfront.

In a moment that instantly went viral, Afrobeats titan Wizkid emerged for a surprise duet, performing their collaborative anthem “Forever Be Mine” live for the first time in Nigeria.

The performance served as a victory lap for the track, which has become a global streaming juggernaut since its release on August 8, 2025, as part of Gunna’s sixth studio album, The Last Wun.

A fusion of Atlanta trap and Afrobeats produced by Turbo and Evrgrn, the song was an instant commercial success, debuting at #68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and claiming the #1 spot on Apple Music Nigeria.

Statistically, “Forever Be Mine” is the album’s breakout hit. It garnered 1.61 million streams on its opening day on Spotify alone and has since surpassed 46.3 million total streams on the platform.
