The event, hosted by Minister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and Elevate Africa, aimed to mobilise diaspora support for the 9-pillar Women Agenda.

“I was sooooooo humbled as it was truly unexpected,” Desalu-Vold wrote. “I was given the opportunity to officially meet Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development. Thank you, and I look forward to doing GREAT things together!”

For over three decades, Desalu-Vold has flown Nigeria’s flag across international fashion capitals. After winning West Africa’s first Super Model competition in 1991, she graced runways in Paris, Milan, London, and New York. She later expanded into European film and television, appearing in Norway’s “Hotel Caesar” and the feature film “Varg Veum.” Today, her YouTube channel boasts over 850,000 subscribers, where she continues to inspire her “FumiNation” with content on lifestyle, beauty, and positivity.
