Victony turned his solo smash into a transatlantic late-night groove. The official “SLICK” remix, featuring Summer Walker and Don Toliver, landed at midnight on Friday, October 16, 2026, through OUTLAWVILLE under exclusive license to Encore Recordings.

Since dropping in July 2026, “SLICK” logged 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, matching the record set by Burna Boy’s “Last Last” and Tyla’s “CHANEL.” It peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart while anchoring STARLIFE, which planted eight other tracks on the same chart simultaneously. In Nigeria, it gave Victony his first-ever solo No. 1, holding the summit for three straight weeks.

Then came Shazam. The track broke the record for the biggest debut by a Nigerian song in the platform’s history, charting across 20 countries at once—No. 1 in Nigeria, No. 3 in Ghana, No. 5 in Kenya.

That momentum made the American remix inevitable.

Summer Walker kicked it off with a playful “Thick Slick” vocal cover on Instagram. Don Toliver, who already linked with Victony on the colossal “Soweto” remix, slid back in. Production stays smooth, with Ozedikus and Dera The Boy building the hazy bed that Walker’s rich R&B runs settle into effortlessly.

The trio has already filmed a music video. Expect it soon.

Victony submitted “Slick” for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best African Music Performance at the 2027 Grammys. STARLIFE is in contention for Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album. He’s also submitted for Best New Artist. Nominations arrive later this year.
