Reno Omokri‘s Ethiopian wife, Hana, has publicly expressed her gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his “good work for Nigeria” and his role in her husband’s diplomatic career.
In an appreciation message shared by Omokri, Hana thanked the President for his leadership and for the opportunity extended to her family. The message follows a series of warm exchanges between the Omokri family and the Tinubu administration.
From Critic to Ambassador
Omokri, once a fierce critic of the President, was nominated as one of 32 ambassador-designates in November 2025. By March 2026, his posting as Ambassador to Mexico was confirmed. Omokri has since described the President’s willingness to work with him as “Christ-like” and a masterclass in political forgiveness.
Throughout this transition, Omokri has frequently credited his wife, whom he affectionately calls his yene konjoo — Amharic for “my beautiful one” — as a “pillar” of support.
Roses and Diplomacy
Just days before the thank-you message, the couple visited the Nigerian Embassy in Addis Ababa, where Hana presented specially bred green-and-white roses to Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ethiopia as a symbol of her appreciation for the nation.
From roses to ambassadorships, the Omokri household is blending culture, gratitude, and diplomacy — with Hana quietly stealing the show.
