Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema is officially locked in to headline the 21st edition of the Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco, bringing his era-defining sound to one of the continent’s largest musical gatherings.
The “Calm Down” hitmaker will take over the OLM Souissi international stage on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 9:30 PM.
Organisers Maroc Cultures confirmed the booking as part of a sprawling festival that runs from June 19 to June 27, spread across multiple stages throughout Rabat and neighbouring Salé.
Rema’s appearance places him at the centre of a lineup boasting over 90 acts across seven stages, with South African pop sensation Tyla also confirmed to perform on Sunday, June 21.
The festival, a celebrated fixture on the global music calendar, routinely draws millions of attendees and has previously hosted icons like Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston.
For Rema, the Mawazine headline slot reinforces a dominant 2026 touring season that has already seen him conquer stages across Europe and beyond.
