Nigeria is set to make pageant history as it welcomes the reigning Miss International, Catalina Duque, for the first time.
The 2025 queen will visit Lagos to personally crown the woman who will represent Nigeria at the next Miss International global pageant.
The historic moment will take place at the Face of Hope pageant. In a video announcing her landmark trip, the Colombian beauty queen expressed her excitement.
“Hello, everyone. I’m Catalina Duque, Miss International 2025,” she shared. “I’m so happy to be there as the first reigning Miss International to ever do so. And for me to crown my next Miss International Nigeria.”
Her presence marks a significant milestone, elevating the national pageant’s profile. Duque added that she is eager to meet the Nigerian contestant and experience the country’s culture.
“I’m so happy to get to know my sister and get to know your beautiful country, Nigeria,” she said. “Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see you there in April.”
The crowning will happen on April 19th at the Eko Hotels & Suites, where one contestant will win the coveted title of Miss International Nigeria and the chance to compete for the international crown, receiving her title directly from the reigning queen.
