Former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Mercy Atang has signed a one‑year brand ambassadorial deal worth ₦70 million with the BLord Group, cashing in on the viral fame of her controversial AMVCA bread dress.
The endorsement, finalised on May 27, 2026, was announced by BLord Group CEO Linus Williams (Mr Blord), who welcomed Atang as the conglomerate’s “first‑ever ambassador after seven years of operations.” He also revealed that she is now a top shareholder in the company.

The deal is a direct reward for one of the most ingenious marketing stunts in Nigerian red‑carpet history. At the 12th AMVCA on May 9, Atang wore a gown crafted from over 500 real loaves of bread, styled by celebrity designer Toyin Lawani. The outfit, complete with a pot of Ewa Agoyin as a prop, was not mere shock value but an explicit advertisement for her baking brand, Swit Cakes & Desserts.

Atang later revealed that the heavy dress left wounds on her back and nearly broke her waist. But the global attention paid off, landing her a multi‑million‑naira corporate partnership.
The BLord Group operates in cryptocurrency and tech, signalling a bold crossover for the reality TV star turned entrepreneur.
